The A&O Singers
All employees and alumni are welcome to sing with the A&O Singers.
The A&O Singers staged The Magic Flute at Glyndebourne in 2010, and Carmen at Sadler’s Wells in 2011, and made their debut at the Spitalfields Festival in 2012. They have staged Gilbert & Sullivan’s operettas Pirates of Penzance, HMS Pinafore and The Mikado, and took part in Go Sing! with the BBC in 2007. They also sing at A&O’s annual Music Evening, the A&O Christmas and Easter Services, and various firm functions.
The A&O Singers have a close association with schools in the East End. They performed at a charity concert at Sadler’s Wells in aid of Anchor House in 2012 along with members of Anchor House and London East End school choirs, and participated in the 300th anniversary of both Christ Church Primary School and Stepney Greencoat Primary School. These schools and Sir John Cass Foundation Primary School also participated with the A&O Singers in City Sings at the Barbican in 2009, and in The Magic Flute and Carmen productions.
